looking to set my superhub 5 into modem mode and use a fritzbox 7530 as a router (mainly so i can setup dns/dhcp for using my pihole)

what network settings do i need to put into the fritzbox whenever the sh5 is in modem mode (192.168.100.1)?

i.e ip address, default gateway, network mask, dns addesses (i will set it up initially with google dns server details then change to my pihole dns address once i have it's static ip sorted out)

bit bewildered at the moment......

does that mean the fritzbox will be controlling dhcp rather than the superhub?

edit / i have a ubiquiti network for the wireless side of things i want to keep using, just can't workout how to use superhub 5 with pihole without sticking the fritzbox in to control dhcp and dns as you can't configure the superhub dns settings at all

It means, if your router has the capability to use a WAN port the fritzbox will pull an ip VIA DHCP from VM through the Modem you connected to.
If however you can't then you would need to use the Fritzbox as a dumb AP and use the Hub5 In Router mode
