Hi,
Im trying to setup a website which i can add gaming news to quick. I was looking at wordpress blog... but does anyone have any other methods they would use. Also im using phpBB as my forum.. is this a good choice i would like my blog and forum to have the same account so people dont have to make one on the blog site (or what ever) and one on the forum. Also it needs to be easy to update with news and would prefer if it has RSS options. I dont really have any knowledge of CSS, PHP ect. I can just about make a normal TEXT HTML site or Change a template in dreamweaver. Im using TSO Host so i have My SQL ect... So if someone can help it would be great.

You can set up wordpress act like a CMS, which kinda sounds like what you want. It also has RSS support.

you mention you want the user to have the same user/pass for the site and forum. I think phpnuke integrates you site password and forum password. Don't quote me though as i havent touched anything like that since finding wordpress.

So i can use MKPortal in wodpress :D?
No. But then why would you want to?

You would use one or the other. If you were using MKP you wouldn't need wordpress. It all depends what kind of site you want. MKP is a CMS. Wordpress is a blogging tool.

there isn't a login issue, it was fixed ages ago. it's only the occasional retard on their forums that complains about it, and those problems arise because they havn't read the installation instructions properly.

i run mkp+phpbb on four websites. none of them have any issues at all.
