some what basic rig for my step kids = what do you think ?

hi all

i am just asking is this little package is ok for my 2 young step kids ( just under 11 ), has would like to build them a nice little desktop ( i have a couple of monitors in my spare stock pile ) for there home work & internet use etc, also i would use it if i need too for some basic games & music \ video etc.

nice one mate i will go intel as that cpu beats the amd by a bit, & you are right about the psu as i dont like the sound of skimping but working for my self i do at times sorry to say.... .

however i will nip OC asap & get the stuff later today me thinks.

I dont see a HDD listed, do you have one? is it SATA?

The motherboard has DVI+Dsub so you should be ok hooking a screen up to it

hi i have a couple of 500gb Wd's here in my spare parts what i have only used a few times, so i will use them & i have a nice 22" tft knocking about too.

thanks just trying to keep the funds low on this one now, as i would like to undate my main rig in my sig.

i like the zotac gpus's but what do i get to replace my 280gtx ?,,,, too many nice new ones out there now ( i would only like to spend about £250 or so this time ).

That GT 520 is lame as **** http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/Powercolor/HD_6670/27.html - its just bottom of the pile.

I think you could get a 2nd hand 5770, or give them your GTX280 which is faster still.

mmmm if i do i will need to upgrade the psu me thinks as i can not remember but i think there is a power lead short on the xfx psu.

oh well if it plays some games on med settings that will do, as i will not be playing games that much down there & the kids only play simple games so far...

Yeah, give them your GTX280 and get yourself a new card.

All these cards at around £40-50 new, just dont come close to a GTX280.

just got to make mind up what nvidia to get, maybe a 560 ti series but i see they do 2 sorts now a ti & a 448 series so time to look up on whats about for about £250 or so.
