somebody has a trigger finger !

Ahahah, as I was typing the video was still running, did that 'expert' really say 'A Submarine, an underwater Submarine'? And why would there be a show of 'force' to Asia off the coast of California, I know there's a lot of Asians live there but...

An odd thing to say, but I suspect he was emphasizing it launched it while underwater, hence why no one saw where it came from. He probably should have said a submerged submarine, though one would suspect that was the case either way! :p

You do realise that submarines do, quite frequently surface.

Yes, but that's beside the point. You'd say, a submarine, that fired the missile underwater' or 'A submarine, that surfaced to fire the missile'

An underwater submarine, as opposed to an overwater submarine? Or has he got Ekranoplans on his mind? :p

idk, "an underwater submarine fired a missile" is a perfectly valid sentence fragment afaik

It's really no different to saying "a volcano, an underwater volcano".

A bit disconcerting that the US military have denied all knowledge of this, when it can only be of that origin. I mean, it's not the most discreet thing to deny really. Because that means that we could have stuff flying round in front of our faces and they could just shrug and say 'nope, wasn't us'.

Is this the second missile launched?
I'd only heard of one.

Anyway, launching an ICBM from west coast US, so China can track it right across the pacific prior to it making splashdown just shy of the Eastern Chinese seaboard would be a show of force towards China and more specifically towards North Korea.
No idea if this is what occurred, but seems reasonable.
