Right i'll start from the beginning... I got a new fx 8320 and decided i'd overclock it. I got it to 4.3ghz and stress tested it on prime 95 for about half an hour and it was all fine. I stayed on my pc then for a few more hours, no issues whatsoever.

This morning I go to boot up my PC and it wouldn't turn on, strange I thought.. Try playing about with all my psu connections and trying the plug and that, no help.. I pressed my memok button on my pc and the lights on the motherboard lit up ( they had previously been completely off and unresponsive) so i figure its just my overclock.. I go into bios, stick it all at factory settings and boot my pc up.

Now however it's running at 43 degrees when i'm barely doing anything. Could it be my psu somehow? Have i messed up my bios? Or is my motherboard on its way out?

Hi did your overclock include the RAM? Quite strange.

My power supply is doing something simlier only difference is that it will eventually give power to the motherboard allowing it to boot up.

I dealt you would have damaged the powersupply unless you went over its rated.. Still i think you would be fine with an 600watt corsair, decent units..

left the ram at 1600mhz because i figured It would make such a tiny difference messing about with it and yeah i thought corsair made pretty good psu's that's why it panicked me when it all happened
