Hi all,

I have misplaced an old iPhone I had.

This afternoon I get two emails from apple stating ‘find my iPhone’ had been disabled and ‘ Your Apple ID password has been reset’.

Obviously it sounds like someone is trying to use it ...but what can I do? What should I do?

Thx

Are you sure it is a legitimate email? Check the senders address to see whether it has actually come from Apple/iCloud.

So I have managed to reset my password and get into my account. I have also reset my security questions.

What I don't get is ....the person who has the phone ....They must have obviously logged me out and tried to reset the phone .....but how did they manage to reset my password?

So - When they attempted to reset the phone ..it prompts for Apple account details ...at which point they must have tried to reset the password (because they couldn't have known the password)

...How did they get success at resetting the password? ...is it possible?

Can't be genuine if you didn't get a password reset request email.

yes at 14:15 I got an email saying 'You recently made a request to reset your Apple ID'

...then at 14:17 I got another email saying 'The password for your Apple ID ...... has been successfully reset.
