Civ IV type turn based stratagy but with a modern setting and with an emphasis on military stratagy.

I mean Civ IV is all good but sometimes I want more stratagy in wars, more diverse, specialised units and more complex gameplay.

Bah best I can say right now, anyway, bring them titles and links on! Please

there are plenty of mods for civ4 that do a similar thing, have you looked at them? AoE II i seem to remember being a bit like that? (although i've not played it for ages so icould be wrong?)

Combat Mission series. I think there was also another really WW2 good series but very old, can't remember the name though

Oh oh, Blitzkrieg - thats turned based! Blitzkrieg 2 also.
