well he's getting a delayed parcel by a couple of working days... it probably would be a bit nasty to send him to some random corner shop 30 miles away

That's a ridiculous reaction to something that hasn't given you any inconvenience at all. Hopefully the person hasn't made arrangements for someone to sit in for that parcel.

As has been mentioned, this is caused by a simple typo and the person could be elderly or partially sighted. Of course Gmail ignores the full stops, that facility is available to allow you to make your email more easily readable and is actually designed to help people avoid situations like this.

that isn't true, I've wasted time in the past due to incorrect e-mails relating to him he's already had people contact him more than once in the past to let him know and to get the correct address... I also get various mails/spam relating to the region hie lives in which are likely down to him (though I can't say for sure)
