Can you do a quick test favour please? I'm looking to see if LC benefits any amount using dual core.
What I'd like you to do is launch LC and ALT TAB out of it then in task manager set the affinity to the HL2.EXE process for only 1 core (uncheck one box) then go back into LC after applying the action.
Run the LC Video stress test using high res (1600x1200) and 4xFSAA with 16xAF max settings (vsync off)
After you note the result launch LC again but this time don't change the affinity and see what you get.
I got the same result with affinity set to 1core as both cores indicating that it does not benefit one bit from dual core. Just wanted to see if it's my dual core drivers or maybe something else!
