My Land Rover has apparently got issues with the lower arms (both sides) and the track rod, track rod ends.

Warranty direct will cover the cost on the track rods and ends, but not the arms.

I have a garage in mind to carry out the work, but is there "much" more work involved in doing the arms while the wheels are off and the guys are under there??

Ive been quoted somewhere in the region of £800 to do all the work, with most of that cost due to the arms. Which i have to pay.... :(

im not to clued up on the workings and wondered if i had any powers to be able to negotiate the labour charges between the 2 jobs.

To do the arms you do have to remove a lot of the suspension components including compressing and removed the springs which can be a bit of a pain on some cars. The track rod ends you can do with just taking the wheel off. I'm not sure how complicated the land rovers suspension is but im guessing it will be a bigger job than on most cars to take the suspension apart.

If that price includes the cost of two arms thats probably about right, if its just labour it seems a bit excessive.

ahhhhh pah!
i was hoping there would be some cross over work involved so that the warranty would cover some of the labour ha

As above, quite labour intensive!

have you considered searching for a set of used arms form an owners forum or breaker perhaps?
