am after a good spec pc with i5 £500 including delivery

do not need dvd drive or os

but do need

network card wirerles g

wireless keyboard and mouse

monitor

on board graphics is fine unless i can get a ok gpu within budget but if not a psu able to power a gpu incase of future upgrade of gpu

case and everything to go in it

Eh, if he doesn't care about graphics he probably isn't gaming, so a system with onboard / cheap dedicated video is within reach at £500.

will be used for every day use internet and burning of videos ie home moves from vid cam person i am helping wants a i5 but if i can get a amd that is as good for les should be able to change his mind

will be buying gpu in future if needed but inboard for now is fine unless i can get one within budget

Burning DVDs and internet browsing are spectacularly undemanding of computers- you can use onboard graphics, minimal RAM and a rubbish processor with zero slowdowns.

Unless you have any other plans for your system, I'd get a cheap Atom prebuilt computer.

he wants something that is powerful and future proof so if his pc demands change he dose not have to spend any money

Total cost: £500.00 inc common sense

A £400 system now absolutely smashes the gentleman marbles off a £500 system 2-3 years ago. Tell him to save the money, and spend it when he actually needs the upgrade.
