Hi guys.

Turned my PC on and got to the windows loading page but froze, nothing happened for a good 5 mins which has never happened before.

Pressed restart button and now its not even showing the screen. Blank screen and I can hear the graphics card fans going full speed which they never normally do when it worked.

I don't have any spare parts to try so not sure if it is the mobo, the cpu, the gfx card or what.

I know the above is very vague but I haven't got a clue what it could be.

I've cleared the CMOS but still no joy.

I haven't changed anything in the system, no new hardware/software.

I'm thinking possibly the gfx card which I will buy a replacement, but don't want to buy a new one if it still won't work.

Any advice is welcome.

You could try reseating graphic card but sounds much like it resigned from its job.

Cheers for the reply. I tried reseating it and tried it in the other PCI-X slots but still not joy.

Not sure if its the power supply not giving the card the power. Although I tried a new gfx card power cable and tried it in a different connector to the psu.
