something bust ?

My personal opinion is the RAM.

As mentioned earlier since I have changed my RAM from Crucial to Kingston I have never had the problem. My LED poster would often 'crash' when 'Detecting DRAM', but not anymore. Seems ASUS boards are very picky about which RAM they support....

mark90gizmo which mobo are you having the problem with?

My last comment was probably a little unfair.

The actual problem is with the motherboard, but the solution (in my case) was to change my memory. I have used Crucial memory for a long time and have only had a problem once which they were very fast to sort out (+1 for their RMA service).

Asus on the other hand have caused me no end of problems over the years. I only got the Maximus Formula due to all the positive reviews and decided to ignore past experiences - but never again!
