Not quite sure what it is. At first I thought it was the HDD, but have the side of my case of and really sounds like it's the other end of the computer which would be the PSU but again can't be certain.
Lets see how specific I can be about the clicking; It is not constant, I could go hours without hearing it if not days, it seems to only happen under more demanding circumstances, for example having a lot going on within a game such as Dungeon Defenders. When it does start to "tick" the sequence is random, it sounds as if you were to shove paper into a fan every few seconds (though much quieter) if that's a decent example of the sound
I've checked temperatures, all absolutely fine. Nothing is overclocked all running at stock. Though I said this occurs in demanding situations, my PC does not in any way struggle to run and I do not lag as a result. It's more an annoyance, and a worry that something could be faulty.
Not sure how to diagnose this issue so I'm asking for help!
Here's my specs
Windows 7
Gigabyte H55M-UD2H
Intel Core i3 530 @ 2.93GHz
Nvidia GeForce GTX 260 896MB
XFX EasyRail Pro 450W
4GB DDR 3 RAM
