something has gone wrong

ok im not entirely sure this is a software problem but at this point i dont know t where to start this thread.

im running w7, on the pc in my sig, and i decided to try unlock some extra cores, again. now the mb is good and told me it didn't work, so i restored to previous settings, rebooted, but now w7 wont load, its hanging on 'starting windows' screen. tried repair disk but not loading, even tried installing xp on 2nd disk, but after it has copied all files and rebooted it hangs when it should be continuing the install.

what the hell have i done?

have you tried to reset cmos

i hadn't actually, as i could get in to bios i didn't think there would be any point.

Anyway its now fixed. Although how exactly im not sure. I did reset Cmos, though i then started getting a hardware config error. I disconnected everything (usb sticks, external drives etc) except for the internal drives, and the windows repair disk then loaded fine and fixed whatever the problem was for me.

That will be the last time i try unlock these cores. They are obviously not playing out.
