Something I bought has dropped from £40 to £24 in a week.. can I return it?

I bought some headphones from a supermarket for £40, which seemed a good price for the model.

However I went in last night and saw them on the shelf down again to £24

Is there a way I can return mine or get the money? it was from Tesco.

Yeah I have the receipt and packaging etc.

Should I just make up an excuse or simply mention the price difference.

£24 quid for Sennheiser cx880 is a bargain. Id rather have the £16 in my pocket.
