When I'm watching something on my PC I tend to have it in the corner and have been playing OpenTTD in a window on the left of the screen but I'm getting a bit bored with it.

So I'm looking for something new to play. Ideally just mouse and in a resizable window. Any ideas or recommendations?

Rollercoaster Tycoon
Planet coaster
Rocket league (controller)
Theme park
Any telletale game
City skylines

Just a few of top of my head. I do the same but I play rocket league whilst watching YouTube.
Still get MVP :D

Have you thought about the Empire Total War games? They don't take much to run and can be played in a Window while you watch a movie or something. Only time you really need to dedicate any sort of time to them is when you commit to a battle. The Civ games could be recommended too.

I know it might not be your thing or others, but have ever thought about Visual Novels? There are some serious novels that most adults can enjoy without all the eroge/hentai stuff in them. There is also a series called Princess Maker (Think of the SIMs games), which can easy be played in a Window as you do something else.

There is Fallout Shelter too on Steam.

There are lots of browser games out there too, I can recommend Travian, but it's easy to lose your life to that game...

Door kickers - top down tactical shooter real-time but with pause to give orders can be played on just the mouse (other than spacebar for pausing but that's re-bindable I think) I had a blast with it and as a bonus it has steam workshop support for mods & a mission creator.

I think The Banner Saga 1 & 2 can both be played on just the mouse and in windowed mode, not sure about the resizing.
Battles are turn based so you can look away without issue. Also most of the story is told through text rather than audio so you won't miss too much if the video has audio too.
