At the moment I am using a 7900gs which runs @ 630 core and mem 1500mhhz
with 20 Pixel Pipelines would a Radeon HD3650 512MB DDR2 PCIE DVI be that much better than what I am using now it's just that I have 50 quid and its all I have to spend @ the moe, retail therapy

- 120 Stream Processors
- Glaciator Fansink
- HDMI output support
- PCI-E 2.0 supported
also what is the difference between Pixel Pipelines and Stream Processors

For comparison, an 8600Gts is around the same speed as a stock 7900GS iirc, so the 3650 would probably be a bit slower than what you have.

Hold off for 1-2 weeks as the new range of Nvidai / ATi cards are being released. The 2nd hand market should be full of better cards for around £50. after that.

If you need it now, I'd look for a 2nd hand 1900xtx, 1950xt instead of the 3650.

The 256mb version doesn't look like it will be, but the 320mb version is There wont be much in it though as the ozzyDe's 7900GS is overclocked :

Thanks for the advice I think I will wait a couple of weeks as suggested and see what's on the second hand market, or try to get £100 to spend.

dont make that switch.

instead save for a 8800gt when the prices come down (i guess they will) when the new cards come out. check members market as people are probably already getting rid of them in anticipation.

I saw 2 8800GT's go for £50 & £53 on the bay last night so the drop in prices are starting to ween themselves in.

Still a bit confused about which one to go with nvidia or ATI
My PC is used for office work in the day but when I'm not working I am playing games so I would say it's going to be for gaming COD2 and on.
