just got knowing this lass lately and shes into stuff like old music like frank sinatra type music be it vocals and a brass band or just a big band esk music (ironically she dosent know any names etc just loads of compilation cds) so i was woundering if i could impress her with some music knowledge etc anything good reccomendations for that type of music to get in ??

Why not try Matt Munroe, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr or Nat King Cole for a start.

Don't forget Tony Bennett and for instrumental look at Benny Goodman and Count Basie's Big Bands.

An ideal combination would be Sinatra at The Sands - Frank Sinatra with the Count Basie Orchestra.
