Saw this Qashqai http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classif...a/page/1/advert-type/dealer-stock?logcode=dsp on AT at a very cheap price, i emailed the chap as per instructions and i get this back ....

Hello,

I still got the 2007 Nissan Qashqai 1.5 dCi Acenta for sale at the price of £3000. The car is in excellent condition, garage kept and accident free. The mileage is real and I never had any problems with the engine. The car looks and works just perfect. I bought it from UK and it is still registered here. We live in the Northern part of United Kingdom, in a beautiful sea-side city called Thurso.
We are a nice couple of pensioners (I have 64 and my beloved wife is 63 years old) and don't use the car so often. We love to spend our time on the road but now we use to travel by plane, so a car is no more useful for us. Also we sold our house and bought a big farm here in Thurso. If you are really interested we are ready to make a trip to England and meet you personally. You can take the car for a test-drive and any kind of inspection.
Please tell us where do you live? I am sure that we will find a nice city in England to arrange a meeting, a region acceptable for us and for you in the same time. We have the faith that this can be a good deal!

P.S. I appreciate if we can continue our conversation by e-mail. The mobile signal is poor here, we have to walk over 2 miles for a good phone call.

Thank you and let me know,

Peter

........which raises a couple of questions.
The advert says the car is 34 miles from me at Mrg Volvo which is Chippenham, the guy says the car is in Thurso which is about as far North as you can go without needing a boat.
There are other cars from this dealer all at very low prices only contactable via email. There is a number for the dealer which is an 0843 number (50ppm)

Scam ?
All seems a bit too good to be true.

It looks like there are 7 ads that have been placed under the identity of MRG Volvo, if you look at the 7 suspect ads they all have differing contact email addresses, are all low priced and the pics look like they have all been taken in differing places.

But looking at the details of MRG Volvo it all checks out and they've got plenty of Volvo's on sale. Perhaps his trying to get round dealer responsibilities and flog off part exchanged cars privately on the cheap? Somethings not right, but there might be more to it.

£3k seems to be the usual price for dodgy motors on AT, I've been looking recently and there are tons of cars that shouldn't be in that price range. I report them and move on.

More likely he's had his account details compromised and someone is uploading dodgy ads to a genuine account if that's the case.

lol @ my gashqai typo, genuine! :o

Don't know much about them apart from they seem to be the motability scam vehicle of choice..

P.S. the wording in that ad seems a little bit 'eastern European broken English' to me.
