Our kettle is haunted. Sometimes it just spontaneously turns itself on and boils itself.

In truth, the switch doesn't click of properly when it's done boiling. Then any tiny disturbance near it - even the cat going into the kitchen or a stiff breeze outside - can nudge it enough to click it back on and make it boil again. You have to go and pull the switch back properly to stop it doing it.

I should video it and upload it for that dude who posts all the poltergeist cobblers.
