My rig is a phenom 955 with 12gb of ram and a 260gtx GFX card, this rig seems happy to play most things on high. I was wondering what kind of setup /price would i be looking at for a laptop of similar or better spec ?

A nice i7 4700HQ / GTX860m (maxwell or Kepler the performance should be similar) should fit the bill quite nicely. Price wise you are looking at around £1,000 all in (for a balance setup).
