Something that has always annoyed me with iTunes

I separate my music into playlists. How do I delete a song/group of songs from a playlist and have them also delete from 'music' (ie my iphone)

At the moment it just deletes from the playlist but leaves the music on the phone. Highly annoying

I have installed other software and it asks something like 'would you also like to remove this track from your device'

Can't believe every time i have updated songs on ipod, ipod shuffle, classic, nano and iphones i have been removing from playlist then manually going through all the music list deleting individual tracks and albums or wiping the whole thing and starting fresh if i couldnt find them (i blame no option in the right click context menu)
