...And that is USB soundcards.

Some of you might be thinking OMG, noooooo!

However, there is good reason.

In my media pc, Aspire M-ATX case, i have replaced the heatsink on my graphics card to keep noise down, and therefor had to mod a quiet fan over the heat sink to keep the temp down. Now, subsequently, this fan is now sitting over the last PCI slot that is available on my motherboard. So the question is this... Are there any good USB based sound card devices out there that will do what i need.

Requirments:

Digital RCA output,
Digital Optical output,
Headphone output.

Anything else is a bonus.

I am looking at the Creative SB Live! 24-bit, External, USB, 24bit/96kHz, 5.1. Does anyone have any experiance with this component? Any other advice on alternatives would be very much appreciated.

Many thanks,

Woody

It does, but it is only the one port and its on the front panel. Im not even sure if i rigged it up to the internal jumpers...

I think I am going to have to stick to USB 2. Thanks anyway though Daz :)

Any one else know of any good solutuons?
