And that is the people that always crack the ****s and start whinging and calling people campers when the sit behind some bushs or in buildings and not move because they have found them selves a good Location.

It really gets on my **** TBH

If people can find a good weapon and location to sit to use it then why should they need to run about like a pig with a pole up its arse  :p

I dont see any problem with Campers personally. You just have to learn to find them and flush them out before they do too much damage and it gives the games some more challenge.

Im not sure if any of you feel the same about it but im really sick of people calling snipers or MGs campers when thats what there job really is, just to sit there and pick every one off.

Sorry i had to get it off my chest.

Well it's hard to agree without knowing what games in particular you're talking about.

In games such as CSS, teams should be attempting objectives and not just sitting at spawn with an AWP.

First time playing online? :p

But seriously when I get moaned at that person goes on my hitlist and I just try to pwn them so hard they leave...or shutup :D

The game that it ****s me the most in is Day of Defeat :(

If someone calls me camping for sitting behind rubble or in a building protecting a flag one more time im gonna scream :p :(

I love campers as not only do i know where to find them but they are much easier to Stab in the Face.
Campers or anyone for that matter get Teabagged especially Snipers.
As far as Banter goes you are taking it the wrong way and should lighten up a tad and get involved.
Part of the fun for me is to start a little banter with the enemy and get some chat going as it adds to the fun.
**** em off mate have some fun :D

What if that team's objective is to protect the hostages? Or the bomb locations? Are they allowed to guard them then?

I only hate campers when they aren't helping the team. Example, in BF2, a sniper camps an enemy flag. The commander puts a UAV over the flag, shows that it is safe to capture, but the lazy ***** won't budge.

Sniping and hiding is useful sometimes... I remember on RTCW on the beach I would snipe and be a pain in the arse until the door/wall was blown open, then move on as hanging around a) uses us all ammon and b) is boring.

Camping is justifiable if it means you are contributing decently towards completing an objective IMO.

Camping by spawn points is lame though tbh.

It's annoying on servers that Punish for "camping".

Sometimes its good to camp, when your protecting an area, covering the bomb, waiting for that 5 man rush you just noticed was going to happen.

Excessive camping sucks though. not the end of the world, just play and kill them :D

camping isnt so bad sometimes but as said above somewhere, in a game like CSS it really gets on my **** of someone has the bomb but they just camp with an AWP instead of actually trying to plant.

yes i hate campers, and helicopter pilots. i make it my personal mission to attempt to take down both at all costs on BF2. i only capture the flags to bring over the helicopters and then practising dealing them virtually no damage every time i offload 100 PKM rounds into them;/

Play your own game and accept that everyone is a stubborn ****, including yourself. Enjoy.

when it comes to dod:s, in my opinion camping is not neccessary 80% of the time and its just because the people cant actually kill someone standing up, there are genuine times where it comes in handy, but when you have someone camping thats the team effectively one man short on attacking potential.
also proning in general is just a poor way to play, when you prone you are effectivly a sitting duck, you are very suseptible to nades, the time between proning and standing is a very weak point, most campers dont even move after killing people so you know exactly where they are next time round which i take much pleasure in killing them.
my opinion is that its a very weak way to play a game and is completely unnecessary, so my advice get up off your belly you wimp and get involved in the fight.

oh and the bit about snipers and mg's, well all good snipers and MG'rs that i know move about a lot the move up and fight with the rest of the team, theres no sence in loosing a player because they are set up back at the middle when the rest of the team are pushing up for first, i wouldnt consider that camping though, thats just a poor sniper/mg'r.

@ Nickg ( Damn those speedy posters :D ) Go AT and stay hid, at the last minute stick a rocket right at the cockpit.
Although this don't often kill it a lot of the times the Pilot is so freaked out he rolls it into the ground and that is Hilarious. If he has taken Any damage at all though prior to Your AT rocket then he and his co-pilot and his Gay chopper are History.

Main reason i posted to say is i know exactly what you mean about making things your Personal mission. I get like that ingame about a few things as well. :D

Well me and a friend hate campers in mohaa spearhead. As its a freezer tag mode where if you die ** frozen untill a team mate melts you and then ** back in the game. With campers and most of ** side is dead then you are totally screwed at getting back to playing on that round. As they never move and just sit there and dont melt whoever is frozen. Its very annoying and im glad 1 server i go on a lot has camper protection on which means if your stuck in a spot for 2 mins ** gona get burned and then die if u dont move.

Hate campers. Really do.

If sniper i can kinda understand if you find a good spot. But its best to move about tho and help ** mates if needed.

Just so you know i dont camp all the time, only when we are getting hammed from one end and need one a flag protected or we are nacked ot at a point near an ally or where lots of peoplke pass by.

If we are pushing fowards ill be there pushing fowards aswell.
Im not just complaning about people calling me a camper but when people really start laying into other people that are wiping the floor with people and the othe rteam starts bitching at them for camping.

way to deal with campers especially in 1.6 cs i found is if you know where they are camping and lets be honest it's fairly obvious on 99% of the maps then spam them! that way they die without them seeing you or vice-versa and then start crying that your wallhacking! oh germans i love them so their logic = you are better than me, you are cheating!

what gets on my wick is people that play for frags especially on the ct side i.e. don't even intend on defusing the bomb fair enough it's public but the objectives are the same t's = plant bomb and ct's hold bomb sites/defuse bomb!

funny though when ct's rush you and then call you a camper, it's like how am i camper when i hear you running towards me so i stop and shoot you in the face? then the age old classic online abuse comes - "Noob" i love it

camping is part of that game, in wwII do u think they ran around like headless chickens ? , no they covered areas and allowed team mates to move up etc, ( to capture the point, NIRL)

do you find no one talks in bf2 (typing on screen)

i cant use a headset because i play when parents sleeping and i dont think theyd want me screaming down the mic.

btw im a sniper feel free to hunt ME down and stab ME in the face ;)

It really used to **** me off in America's Army, when playing on the defending team, the assaulters who died in the first 2 minutes would start votekicks against any remaining players.

This one time I was playing CSAR and was the last def member alive, so I moved back to the pilot's location, the final objective in this round, and stayed in his vicinity; just moving about here and there trying to spot anyone.

Anyway long story short, the reamining assault team were taking their time to get to the pilot, so someone decided to votekick me - think the vote got to 11/12 so I killed myself - thus losing the round but stopping me getting kicked.

In my mind, there are two classes of online player, regardless of the game being played - those who do everything 'Quake style' and those doing it 'Ghost recon style'.

In brief I think that the 'Quake' players are just run-and-gun non-team players, who couldn't care less about working as a team, they are just in it for the kills and want rounds to be over in minutes.

The other class of player, Ghost Recon if you will, is more likely to work as a team, and time is not a worry as playing the game is what matters.

These days I mainly play BF2, and the two player 'classes' can mix without problems, but I'm sure you'll forever get the conflicts.

Scort.
