Looking for the best option really, local pathways were re-done and the guys who did it wernt the most careful, ended up getting tarmac over the brickwork and concrete, unfortunately nobody was around for a day so it had time to stick and stain.

Anyone know the best product I can put on to dissolve it away, dont want to go down the route of chipping/scraping it off incase it ends up worse, so would like to put something on and let it soak in hopefully meaning a scrub with a brush or power hose will lift it.

I was thinking diesel, or maybe acetone would be best?

Contact the party responsible and get them to put the mess they caused; right again.

Honestly I could rather spend a few quid and know some monkeys not going to turn up with a spade and just scrape it off and make it look worse.

Traffic film remover should work. Never used it myself so I'm not sure what it would do to a wall. If your going to try some sort of spirits I've just been using g some hammerite thinners. That's strong acetone.

Autoglym do a very good tar remover for vehicles, couple of quid a bottle can't see why it wouldn't work for you
