Hello,

I'm a little bored of FPS and want something else to play.

Games I've enjoyed that aren't FPS are -

Company of Hero's
The Witcher 2
World At War

Games I've struggled getting into -

Dragon Age Origins, attempted to play this game twice and found it frustrating, far too much talking and even when they aren't talking I found the world difficult to make my way around
XCOM - Enemy Unknown, Maybe I should try it again but I found it really difficult and again quite frustrating

Based off that list is there anything I should try and please justify why I should try it?

Thanks

football manager if you have any interest in the beautiful game.

trust me you will loose half your life to that.

What about FPS that isn't just run and gun?

RPGs.

Fallout series - 1 and 2 if you like isometric RPGs, they are superb!
Fallout 3
Fallout New Vegas

Fantasy RPGs
Morrowind
Oblivion
Skyrim

FPS with a bit more going on:
Wolfenstein The New Order - yep it's a blastathon but I really liked the story, loved the cutscenes and really liked the collecting aspect of it as well.

Dishonored - superb FPS with a great atmosphere.

3rd person
Hitman Blood Money
Hitman Absolution

Saints Row 3
Saints Row 4

Sniper Elite V2
Sniper Elite V3

Indie
Thomas Was Alone
Braid
Fez
Battleblock Theater
Gunpoint
The Swapper

More suggestions...

Trine
Trine 2

Kerbal Space Program

All available on Steam and all games I own and can recommend.

Dark Souls and/or Dark Souls 2. Once you're in you're in - it can become a real obsession.

Cheers but I've got every one of those games apart from the Indie titles you listed which I'll have a look at now, if its an FPS I've probably played its more the top down style I'm after or 3rd person

Minecraft I'm a graphics whore for my sins

I've not played Dark Souls, I'll have a look thanks

What about Diablo?

By the way: only get Dark Souls if you have or are prepared to buy a gamepad, If you try to play it with keyboard and mouse you're gonna have a bad time.

Ah, a game of impeccable taste then! ;)

Diablo 3 has a good following but had some controversy with it due to always on DRM etc.

Ooh, I forgot Super Meat Boy in the indie section!

Borderlands 2 is great fun. Bought that this week for cheap.
Dota 2 is worth a shot for free on steam (expect a steep learning curve)
Dishonored is good
Bioshock infinite is good
Diablo 3 is very easy to get into and addictive.

I'd try giving XCOM another shot. I've been playing it recently, having failed to get into it on a few previous occasions, after it finally clicked for me. Just don't feel the need to crank up the difficulty and only use a single save and it's a lot less frustrating.

Divinity: Original Sin is also fantastic and huge, but if you didn't like Dragon Age it might not be for you.
