Well its coming up to christmas at a rapid rate of knots and we all know..

Christmas = friends & relatives = houseful of screaming kids :eek:

Im in need of some pc games that'll keep the kids quiet for 8 - 11 year olds.

Can anyone suggest anything please.? before i loose my sanity.
 
Thanks all, that indiana jones lego looks too good to miss, think there could be some brawling over the controller this christmas ;) :)
 
I might shot in the head for saying this but how about The Sims Series?? It practically never ends, they could be playing it up to next christmass ;)
 
Don't fall into the trap of assuming that kids want kids' games. Games specifically targetted at children are often very poor, and usually condescending.

My 11-year-old is a Guild Wars addict (my bad :() and the 5-year-old wants whatever his brother likes. Obviously, this is a bit of a nightmare in finding suitable titles that are "non-offensive" and so on, but there are plenty of adult-oriented games that are not "adult" titles, if you catch my drift.

Just look at which games are most popular, then decide for yourself if you'd be happy with your children playing them.
 
Left 4 Dead all the way, keeps them all happy at the same time if you get yourself a network going.


Or a japanese rpg of any kind.
