Next I need something to replace it with. I am newly self employed as an IT consultant and don't really know what mileage a year I will be doing. It could be low or high.

Hatchback,
Good MPG,
Moderately quick (not LCR quick but nothing dead slow)
5 door preferably and around the same size as the LCR or slightly bigger.
Low road tax
As I don't know what my yearly income will be I need something that is going to cost a lot less than the LCR to run (e.g. petrol/diesel costs primary concern, servicing and consumable like tyres are secondary). We may be living of the wife's income for a while until I get established.
Total budget including trade in from LCR is about £7000 max. Preferably I'd like to get it with just the trade in value of the car.
