Doing a little repair on a clients rig, he wanted a H70 installed and the stock cooler on his daughters pc replaced with the TRUE his original pc had so i did it for him.

QX9650 @ 3.8Ghz 1.34v (crappy C0 chip)

Idle @ 34C avg, loading ibt at 86C with the H70!

Original TRUE i built it with loaded at 76C with a years worth of dust and fairly quiet yate loon.

H50 and Coolit ECO ALC load about 74C each. Also noting the H70 is a bit on the noisy side. Any ideas? First H70 i'm using and not amused.

Same as mine with my 2600K. I have checked everything 10 times, new paste on, connectors into PSU, backplate, temps with 1.3v can hit 86 Deg. Not impressed at all. Will get a good aircooler in a few weeks. When gamming, temps can get to the low 70's so it will do for now. If you find a magic solution, let me know!

Sent it back and used a H50 instead, not a very good product imo even if something was wrong though it sure felt like it was working ok.

I'm guessing something was defective, could be the base or pump etc.. Sticking with H50s and ALC ecos for the time being when water is requested.

I'm looking at the Coolit eco for simplicity, would you recommend it ?

Spent many years with watercooling, but tired of draining loops.

Will be for an i2500k.

I got my H70 today and fitted it im on 4.8GHz with a 2600k and my load is 60-68oc and my idle is 17-24oc there is deffo something wrong there as this cooler beats the mega i had in push/pull hands down

What voltage is that with? My 2600k at 4.5 on just under 1.3 vcore seems to be hitting around 72c load on a push\pull h50.

On load just over 1.4volts.

H70 performs better than a H50 though.

Im also on stock fans aswell and stock tin so could actually do better...

Seen a few reviews where the difference is only a couple of degrees. Do you have it setup the reccomended way (intaking air into the case from the back) or a push pull front to back?

Show me that review please as this H70 works a lot better than my H50 did....I have a CM690II so the top right fan slot i have a 140mm fan as an intake and the standard push/pull as out take works well

maybe ur pump is not pluged it properly or running lower speed ? have h70 here with apache fans , never go above 55 c on 1090t 4 ghz

get a thermalright archon ( IF it fits in your case) they currently going for £46 i'd get in sharpish
