Something wrong with this H70?!

I still reach 90 degrees while playing fsx, 36 at idle. 4.6ghz, Vcore max is 1.32, HT disabled.
I have the rad at the top back of the case, 2 fans pulling air from outside, hoses are at the top of the rad, maybe I should rotate so the hoses are at the bottom.
Im a bit concerned about the cool head fittings, I need to have the retaining ring completely loose to get the cool head under it before tightening it?? I have the sticky pads on the backplate, they do sit across some solder points on the back of the board, I can try removing them. I have already put new paste on to.
Any other advice, if I can't it then I will put my Zalman back on and see how that goes.

problem with those coolers is yeah there brill but there too big H70 would just be as good the op most likely has it on wrong or not setup right
Any chance of a pic of inside your case to see where yours is mounted
Well...officially I'm a complete dork. I checked and double checked my install before but this time I found I had one of the 2 fans the wrong way....what an edjit!!
Fans were both facing out the way, dead air over the radiator, temps could get to high 90 deg with 1.35v at 4.6Ghz 2600k.
Rotated back fan around, idle temps dropped from 35 deg to 27 deg, load temps from 90 deg to mid 60's.....lovely!!!
Worst cooler ever to the best now--DOH!
