So over the last week or so something has been acting up...

Random BSOD's in game or even idling at desktop, off the top of my head I've had:

"IRQL IS NOT LESS OR EQUAL"

AND

"Critical Structure Corruption"

Googling for either doesn't specifically point me in any real direction.

I've also had some games go completely missing, steam saying that the games installed ready to play, it won't open, verify integrity and it redownloads the entire game as if it either wasn't there or every file became corrupt.

I also ran AIDA64 stress test which failed inside a minute with "hardware failure detected" but no other information besides that - no crash I might add.

So far I've gone back to stock, still some BSOD (IRQL one), ran SSD life which says SSD is 100%, ran chkdsk which says my HDD is fine. Just about to run Memtest, but if that comes back clean I'm fresh out of ideas besides OS corruption.

X-OC
8GB GSkill TridentX 2400mhz C10
Dual 780's
HX1000W
240GB Agility 3
1TB Samsung

Anything else I should be looking for?

Yep sounds like ram to me, otherwise have you done a windows update recently? Had an update that went corrupt took me 5 hours to fix that one and I dont know which specific update went fubar because I did a whole load of them

Will run memtest as soon as I get back from costco :)

Haven't had ram fail on me since ~2004 :p fortunately I have 3 spare memory kits should that be the issue.

No os updates that spring to mind, though a clean os install wouldn't hurt.

Scratch that, re-ran and got this:

Time to get this ram off for RMA :)

maybe your ssd is playing up? esp if games are missing, that or memory id be looking into

don't think sandforce work well on z87/intel ports? could be older sandforce though

Looks like it was the ram wazza, swapped it out for a spare set of 1866 hyperX and it passes the tests fine and more importantly no BSOD's so far :)
