Not sure when it started (well it started a few minutes ago, exact time unknown) & now that I am posting, it is gone again. Anyway it is not loud (or wasn't since it has stopped now).

If it becomes continuous it could be the Click of Death from your HDD.

can be a motherboard relay clicking as it passes on power to the rest of the components,can also be the hdd waking from sleep state,a whirring then a click

try and see if you can narrow down where the clicking is coming from as it can be a number of things

you sure its not the case or window just cracking with the heat.

The top of my case 'clicks' sometimes when I'm gaming due to the heat.

I put a bet on it being the HDD.
