It looks good though.

A lot of good games coming out for the Quest 2 now.

Going to save my pennies for Resident Evil, if it's as good as the expectations.

This month is huge tbh. With both Resi 4 and Lone Echo 2 as well as this and other smaller games. Oh and Medal of Honor getting it's quest release as well!

have to say all these about to launch games look like they have crappy graphics, the one in the video here looks like something from 20 years ago. Yes, Vr gives immersion, but I don't want to be immersed in a ZX spectrum quality game.

I'm still really disapointed that although HL:alyx was a brilliant success and overwhlemingly well received, it clearly wasn't commerically successful enough for commerical decisions to be made to make more AAA-esk VR games.

I missed Resident evil 4 as a flat game, and judging by the thoughts on here it sounds like it might have great playability, but again we are talkign about a game that is really old tech.

as much as i'd like to theres not much i can say to counter that.
gfx will improve with the quest 3 or pro, and remember quest can play pc vr games with much better gfx if over wireless or oculus link.
about alyx, yeh im surprised no follow up has been made as yet but valve never rush their next game so it seems... wheres HL3? i bet if the the valve deckard hmd surfaces, valve will release an AAA game or 2 to coincide with that.

edit : "ZX spectrum" quality game is a bit (a lot) of an exaggeration :D theyre not that bad.

Those sorts of graphics were undreamed of outside of movies when the ZX Spectrum came out. Remember, TRON came out in 1982, the same year as the speccy!

Graphics are not always everything. I play Walkabout Mini Golf with my wife and the graphics are extremely low-poly, but the aesthetics work, and the gameplay is great.

agreed, look at how well minecraft has done for example. quest 2 native graphics are like a pc game from the noughties which isnt bad considering.

I'm amazed that a portable device can run a full version of Resident Evil 4 in VR, let alone versions of Half-life and Doom 3.

Agreed, it was said for effect, but you get my point. Wiki tells me resident evil 4 first came out in 2005 on the gamecube that had a 150Mhz GPU.

That "song in the smoke" video looks really crappy graphics to me.

what still impresses me is think of the size of the pc required to run that game back in 2005, and then that computing power is now in a small portion of an already small quest 2.
