Sonicstage annoyances

I've just built a new computer and have just reinstalled sonicstage.

I would like to transfer some new tracks.

Please Sony tell me WHY I have to completely reformat my MP3 player before I transfer any new tracks? I've tolerated SonicStage in the past but now it's just really doing my head in.

Does anyone know of any other alternatives to sonicstage which will let me put some new tracks on my MP3 player without wiping them all off?

My first 'rant' thread I think.

There's some basic mp3 transfer software you can put on your mp3 player and drag and drop folders/songs to on Sony's site. I know what you mean about Sonicstage, it won't even work on my pc now and i've tried installing all sorts of versions. Seems nothing short of a format will fix it and i'm certainly not doing that.
