Sonicwall TZ210 and Virgin Media

Hi

We just had the VM 100 meg service fitted. Using just the VM superhub we were getting 70meg down/10 meg up.

Once the superhub was put in modem mode and connected to the Sonicwall the speed has dropped to 15meg down/10 meg up.

What could be causing this?

MTU size on the WAN port? Throughput will be dire if it's still set to 1500.

It is set to 1500, what should it be?

The TS210 has the following spec

If you have all the UTM stuff turned on, that may be about right - given that performance figures are always hugely optimistic for the real world

That firewall isnt properly sized for a 100mb connection

That's a shame having to lose 40 meg of download
