Sonos Bridge issues - DOA?

Yesterday I bought a Play 3 and it came with a free Bridge. I plugged the Bridge in, power and Ethernet to my VM Router and the light on the top of the Bridge lights up. None of the Ethernet lights come on to show any sign of activity.

I suspected a dud cable and tried a few others I had, same result, no life. I tried both ports on the Bridge and all ports on the Router, no luck. All the Router ports work with my laptop and all the cables work too.

So, dead Bridge or is there something somewhere I've missed?

Have you rebooted the router?

Had a similar problem with a sonos connect.

As above had this when I bought my first sonos component (ZP90, whatever that is called these days). Seemed to be specific to the router at the time

I rebooted the router but that didn't work. Took it back and swapped it over for a new one, plugged it in and within 30 seconds it was connecting to the Sonos Ap on my phone.

All fixed now and happily blasting Spotify in the kitchen!
