Mrs S has decreed that the floorstanders and amp are not infitting with the decor of our new living room and also take up too much space. As such they are being vanquished and she wants to replace the speaker system with a Sonos Playbar.

This I am fairly happy with as is some new tech to geek over for a bit. The only issue I have so far is that it appears I will not be able to use my headphones with this current setup. This is a biggie as due to us having a new build house, you can hear what ever is being watched / listened too downstairs when up in the master bedroom.

Does anyone know of a way of being able to achieve what I am after?

I realise that you can get the Sonos Connect and then pair them up and output what the PLaybar is receiving via that and into a heaphone amp, but hat seems rather cumbersome and also a might expensive with the Connect alone being £275.

Was thinking of using some sort of OPtical switching and have teh output go to either a heaphone amp or the playbar, but not sure how this will work with DD output from Sky box.

Cheers
