Im looking to put in my order for my sons christmas present but im a bit lost on what to get.
I have about £750 to spend but im not really after a graphics card as i have a 980ti laying around
that would be perfect for him. I want a pre-built machine but cant find the option under the website to not include the graphics card. is that something overclockers would be able to sort out over the phone?. i can see i can choose that option under home and office but would like to get him a nice gaming case if possible.

@Scarecrow

OCUK normally charge £50-80 on a build list like above .
Use customer service section to post thread link and see what they can do

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £678.51 (includes shipping: £11.70)

Easier to buy windows key for £15 odd, but could drop to ryzen 2600 non X to save £50 and drop HDD to pay for Windows OEM key via themselves

The 590 trade blows with the 980ti from a benchmark video I saw, usually depends on the game, but end result is the 590 has double the vram which from my own experience with my 8gb 570 is very beneficial, I play at 1366x768 and high/ultra and some games are using 5-8gb vram. It is more than your budget, but it’s an up to date powerful system that also includes 3 new game titles.

My basket at Overclockers UK:
  • 1 x OcUK Gaming Citizen Gaming PC - AMD Ryzen 5 2600, RX 590 8GB Graphics ***THREE FREE GAMES*** = £784.98
    • Memory:Team Group Vulcan T-Force 8GB (2x4GB) DDR4 PC4-24000C16 3000MHz Dual Channel Kit - Grey (TLGD48G3000
    • Graphics Card:Sapphire Radeon RX 590 Nitro+ Special Edition 8192MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card
    • Solid State Drive (optional):TeamGroup 120GB L5 Lite SSD 2.5" SATA 6Gbps 3D NAND Solid State Drive
    • WIFI:Unwanted
    • Operating System:Microsoft Windows 10 Home Advanced - Systems
    • Security Software:Unwanted
Total: £799.08 (includes shipping: £14.10)

Don’t know how old your son is or what he will play, but for the extra this be a cracking system in terms of pre-built and with the 590, obviously cheaper options if you went with a 1060 6gb which I think is on par or better than a 980ti maybe?

he already has the gpu so he doesnt need one

Yes I know, but I think you missed the point of what I said lol.

OP wants a computer for £750 because they have a gpu already, but for an extra 30 odd the OP can get a system with a gpu that will last longer, the fact the 980ti is a stronger card in some cases is irrelevant, loads of new games of late are using lots of vram and as I said in my case, some games are using half or over half of what my card has, hell, BF:V and cod:IW aswell as RB6S have been using 7-8gb vram for me and I don’t game as high as 1080, whether that’s a hardware fault or not I don’t know, but the vram if the 980ti unless it’s a 6gb model will be a limiting factor and hardly an issue worth facing for the sake of an extra 35-40 quid.

Very true

OP why not buy all the parts, wrap them individually (more presents to open is always good), then use the holiday to build it together as a father/son thing.
