I haven't been keeping up on the latest GPU's. His budget is 250 pounds. Monitor at 1080p, He was using a Nvidia 750. AMD or Nvidia it doesn't matter.

Thanks

What resolution are you running?

1080p or higher then yes a 1060 is just right but if you're running a lower resolution monitor you could save a few quid by going for a 3gb 1060 or a 1050ti which would both offer a nice performance leap over the 750 while having no problems running the latest games at lower resolutions.

Edit: The 6gb 1060's a great choice. :D

1060 for the money. a great performer. also people need to remember that they usually roll our the 1080 first with the other gpus bieng sequentially released. so maybe more like half a year to the 1060 or min 5months
