he has a athlon xp 3000 with a 9800pro, he is unhappy that the new tom clancy game would not install is it worth putting a better agp card in > £100
and if so what
still a lot of posts off seeing members market :-( ( must have beeen here for 8 years though

7600 GT @ £140. AGP is expensive at the moment, but that is probably the best for a decent boost.

If that is too much, then a 6800GT would be good S/H at around £100, and overclocks well.
 
The best there is for AGP atm is the GeCube X1950Pro, maybe worth it if you have a killer AGP rig, but in this case I have to say you will be better off with a full upgrade.

Otherwise as suggested, look for a cheap 6800GT / X850 on ebay.
