I know there's lots of threads like this but i'm trying to build my son a pc for under £600 and most of the other threads have different needs, i need everything apart from OS and mouse. At the moment he plays minecraft but as he gets older i can see the games getting more demanding, also i would like the system to be upgradable which is my reason for choosing the am3+ socket and dedicated GPU.

I'm pretty happy with what i have come up with after looking at replies other threads, the question is would i be better of taking a FX-6300 leaving more cash to up the GPU to MSI GeForce GTX 660 Black Knight 2048MB?

An Intel Core i3 (come on Intel released the Haswell Core i3 already).... build,

Better GPU but at the cost of no overlocking but has have the upgrade path in the future to an i7 Ivybridge CPU if needed.

A i3 haswell would indeed be ideal!

What board would you recommend if I did decide on the 8320?

And is steamroller going to be socket am3+ ?
 
Looking at it I can scrape together a haswell 4430 with the cheapest 1150 board and a 650ti for £605

Would that be worth considering?

I really wanted quad core or more, I thought I had made up my mind but keep going around in circles... Fx.. Ivy.. Haswell.. Richland..

yes, i just just wondered if the are tested.

I run a motor factors and there are some buthchers about, some of the things returned to us are in a right mess.
