Sony 10-18mm f4 v Tamron 10-24mm f3.5-4.5

I'm looking for a wide angle lens for an aps-c Sony camera and just wondering if you think the extra 6mm on the Tamron would be more useful? Or if I'd compromise image quality too much by adapting that lens compared to just using a dedicated Sony 10-18mm with no doubt better glass. The Sony on e-infin is £509, the Tamron on e-infin is £349 but with an adapter is £513.

I used the 10-18mm on my A7 before it got flooded in my dinghy. Was a fun lens to play with.

18mm is already 27mm equivalent FOV on a APS-C sensor. 24mm is 36mm FOV, so if you already have a decent 35mm lens, you probably do, then I'd go for the Sony.

That's the thing though, I don't. I'm buying a Sony a6600 and a Sony 70-350mm G OSS, but I'll also want a wide angle lens. But I can't afford to also buy a third lens to cover a focal range between 40 and 70mm. So to me, 24mm (equivalent to 36mm) would kind of cover most bases for focal reach. But is there much difference between me getting equivalent of 27mm v equivalent of 35mm in terms of how wide they look?

Also, if I did get the Tamron with adapter, I could use it on my 5D2 as well. But it all depends on one thing, how good the Tamron iq is compared to the Sony.

I've decided to forget adapting lenses as there's a good chance of losing some functionality. I'm going for that Sony 10-18 lens and might be able to get it for around £360 second hand. At some point when I can afford it, I'll get a 24-70 lens.
