Today I bought a brand new Nikon D3200. I thought I'd get an SD from amazon as retail store can be over priced when it comes to memory cards of all sorts.

I was looking for fast SD cards for taking picture is raw format and found the Sony Class 10 UHS-1 SD cards which boasts 94MB/s. Are they as good as they appear?

You don't really need a memory card as fast as 94MB/s unless you are a serious sports shooter, or covering events where you are going to be shooting constant bursts.

That said, I'm not so clear on Nikon products, but I believe as the D3200 is an entry level model, its highly likely the camera will never be able to take advantage of such a card, as its buffer will be the limitation long before it.

I use a 95MB/s CF card on my 7D and it is noticeably faster than my previous one (around 40MB/s) The question is how often do you fill your buffer? and are you missing shots because of the time taken to write to the card? If yes then a faster card is worth it. As a side note a faster card will also transfer images faster to the PC presuming you have a USB3 card reader.

The 7D is a much more expensive camera though which has two processors and a far higher burst rate, so it can benefit from a very fast card.

A 95Mbit Sandisk card was a noticeable improvement for my 650d so I would imagine it would also help on a 3200 when the buffer was full.
