Yes it'll be interesting to see, given what's already been said offers nothing to landscape, portrait and street photography shooters that we haven't got already.

I have not seen any news about it but I expect it will be much like the A1 MK 1, with some tweaks, a faster processor, maybe a better LCD and EVF, a few better video specs, possibly better battery life, deeper buffer, improved AF and claim of some new AI wizardry.

Several little improvements rather than big changes or upgrades.

Yes looking at the leaks it appears to be minor tweaks, would like to see a global shutter but looks unlikely.

Not that impressed to be honest - barely any different, in theory it should be able to do 8k 60 video if you want that - but currently it doesn't.

Still same 50mp sensor, still 30fps, faster AF, auto subject detection - if I had an A1, not worth the upgrade IMO.

Def not that impressed with the tweaks, some nice to have improvements but not worth the extra cost in trading in and upgrading when the mk1 is still an excellent camera.

Very Lacklust upgrade. More like a side step....

It feels as if 2/3 of these updates could have been implemented via a firmware update on the A1 mk1

The problem with the mk1 is there isn't really much that needed improving. I still feel like the back screen isn't as versatile as the a77 mk2's screen, and the AI-AF is nice but largely unexciting.

Saying that, it's well out of my budget anyway. I'm not seeing a compelling reason to upgrade my A7Riii.

I preordered after the announcement so will hopefulully get it soon. Pretty much everything I disliked or wished the A1 had has been added so it's worth the upgrade.

I'm still pretty annoyed that the A1 had poor support after release, things like animal eye AF in video, focus bracketing etc should have been added with firmware.
