Sony a5100

Been offered one of these for £170 inc 16-50mm lens. I want a simple camera for quick snaps when I’m winter camping as I don’t want to use my iPhone.

Is it worth a punt? Compete camera newbie obv

If this is a friend I'd see if you can get it for a little cheaper. £170 is about the price you can get them used.

As for a camera it is a decent model the lens isn't anything to shout about but as it is the typical kit lens quality. By the way the lens nor body of the A5100 is weatherproof or waterproof.

Thanks for the reply. I went a little over budget and picked up a Sony RX10 MK3 this morning.

I needed something for my winter camping. It was from eBay with a years warranty for £899. It was between that and the FZ1000.
