Hi

I have a Sony A6000 mirror-less camera, with 2 prime lens

Sony 50 mm f1.8

Sigma 19 mm f2.8

Both lens are great, takes really sharp and good pictures, but it get quite annoying to change lens all the time.

So I was looking at the Zeiss 16 - 70 mm f4 to replace the 2 primes, looked at some user reviews and most people are not too impressed with the zeiss alternatively the Sony 18 - 105 mm f4 G lens looks really good for the price.

Which one is better to go for Sony 18-105 or zeiss 16 -70? or is there one that anyone can recommend? budget would be £450

Also I went with Sony A6000 cause of it small form and light weight, would like to keep the Sony and just change the lens.

Thanks

If you bought the A6000 because of it's light weight and small form, I'm not sure either are brilliant as they're both fairly large. I haven't had experience with either, but I've heard that the Zeiss has very quick AF and good colour. Do you do much shooting in low light?

I had the 16-70 for a short while. It was pretty sharp from what I could tell and I would've been happy to keep it if I'd kept the A6000.

A lot of the reviews were done at the same time and it seems to have been plagued by QC issues.

However, I agree^ even though the 16-70 is relatively small it still defeats the purpose of the entire mirrorless point and that's why I got rid of mine.

If size is a concern then why not just stick the 16-50mm PZ in your bag, it's smaller than most primes and plenty sharp enough for most tasks and wouldn't add any bulk or weight at all.
