Thanks for sharing. Interesting. Wish they would announce a price-cut so as I can get a cheaper 80GB to replace my broken (hopefully soon to be fixed) 60GB.
I would hope you do get that 60GB fixed, they go for a mint now due to them being the only ones with backward compatibility amongst other things. An 80GB would be a downgrade in my opinion, although they are meant to run cooler.
Yeah. I actually looked on eBay to see what they were going for as that is probably where it is going to go (should i get it fixed and all my data backed up). If I cannot get it fixed then it is "give Continuous Play" a call time and pray that tampered warranty sticker doesn't matter and they send me a refurb (which would also go on eBay!
). I just want a quieter and cooler console at this point. Never want to have a broken ps3 ever again. Mine has been out of action for 3 weeks now! 
Hardly ever play PS2 games on it and hardly ever use the card reader. The only thing I would miss is the 4 USB ports.

Only thing I would miss is watching Blu-Ray movies on mine. To be honest, the only reason I am keeping my PS3 right now is for God of War 3.
How much are 60gbs going for? My launch day is still going strong and has been upgraded with a 320gb Hard-drive. Still runs a treat but I'm conscious there have been a spate of the launch machines dying recently.
I don't use BC or need 4x USB ports.

I'm in the same boat as you but my PS3 is NTSC.
I could live happily with just a stand alone blu-ray player at this point. Lost all interest in games apart from the ones I am really into. (Metal Gear,GOW) I don't even know why I still post in the gaming forum as I don't play games much at all anymore.
