I originally bought a Samsung TV, which would connect fine with BT headphones, but it developed a fault and I 'traded up' to this Sony Bravia KD43XE8005, but then realised it didn't have A2DP, so no headphones would pair with the TV.
I probably should have just sent it back, but I reverted to my previous method of using a BT transmitter.
For some reason, the transmitter has now stopped pairing with my headphones, they just wont connect. Sometimes it's happened before, normally when one of them is trying to connect to a different BT device, so I've moved away/turned off BT on things and it still wont work.
Part of me says just sell this TV and get another with A2DP, but that's quite a big hassle. I didn't keep the box. I'm not even sure where the stand is now (it's wall mounted). I would probably actually miss Android on my TV a little too, I like being able to install apps on it.
How on earth did they not think A2DP was a good idea?! It really annoys me! There are a few threads about installing a BT Pairing app. I've tried that, I can get my headphones to then appear in the BT devices, but they wont connect, which seems to be an issue others get too.
Anyway. I'm just wondering if anyone has any suggestions?
Ideally, I'd love something that was always on (or came on with the TV) like a USB BT transmitter, but I tried my gaming headset USB dongle and no sound was transmitted, so I'm not sure a USB transmitter would work?
Is there some other kind of box that can plug into the headphone jack and a power source and I connect my BT headphones to that? (I'm thinking like an amp more than a dongle type transmitter)
Thanks for any help.
