I've been using a Sony Bravia TV for the past 5 years. It's completely bottom of the barrel R series but it's done me really proud both as a PC and PS4 display. The picture is sharp, the colours are bright and there is no perceptible input lag.

However, I'm really desperate to experience 4K now. I'm not that bothered about HDR or Smart capability as the former isn't really a thing on PC and my PC will handle all the YouTube/BBC iPlayer stuff. I really just want the same kind of TV that I have now with little input lag but at 2160p instead of 1080p.

A quick look at some of the catalogue high street shops lists this model as the cheapest 4K Bravia. I can't find much detail on the XF model, a lot of stuff is about the XE which I think is the 2017 version. There are some vids on YouTube which I'm just checking out but was wondering if any of you good folk are familiar with it.

The XF & XE models are basically the same. I had the XE70 one but in 55'' & used it almost exclusively with PC content. Was great! Have the XF90 now and it's certainly a step-up for HDR but it's not a big deal different otherwise - though having 1080p 120hz is nice on occasion. I know the smaller variants have not quite as good panels than the 55 & above ones but it shouldn't be too different. I'd definitely recommend the 70 series for PC usage.

I also had no issue with input lag in Game Mode with HDR on for the XE70, but I didn't spend much time in HDR, it's kinda pointless with these FALD-less models.
